Question by Rachel C: Chimney cleaning bricks - anyone used them, and are they any good?
Got a chimney sweep in last week, who took one look at my fire and proclaimed that, because it had a bend in its pipe, he couldn't clean it.
Rather than get a smoke box installed, has anyone used these chimney cleaning logs, which chemically convert the creosote to brittle non-burning matter that then disintegrates over the next couple of weeks?
