Can you use asphalt roofing tar to seal a roof on a fifth wheel camper?

Question by : Can you use asphalt roofing tar to seal a roof on a fifth wheel camper?
I have 3 different leaks in 3 different spots on my fifth wheel camper roof. I have a half a bucket of asphalt roofing tar and was wondering if that tar would seal the leaks? Anything better that you can recommend than the roofing tar to fix my leaking fifth wheel roof? Also how long does it take for the tar to fully cure?
